Solana to Outperform Ethereum, Bitcoin in 2025 if Trump Reelected
Solana SOL will outperform Ethereum and Bitcoin in 2025 if Donald Trump becomes US president, a report from Standard Chartered predicts. SOL has been one of the top performers in crypto over the past year, climbing 510.35% in the last 365 days. Standard Chartered predicts that this climb will get even steeper, predicting a fivefold increase in SOL’s price if Trump wins the election.
Standard Chartered also predicts that Bitcoin will boom, saying Bitcoin will hit $200,000 by the end of 2025 regardless of who wins the election. Geoffrey Kendrick, Global Head of Digital Assets Research at Standard Chartered, states that Solana has a higher current value than Ethereum across all backward-looking metrics. “Based on the market cap-to-fees ratio, SOL is valued at 250x, versus 121x for ETH,” Kendrick says.
His prediction indicates substantial growth for Solana, with projections of a 100-400x increase. Kendrick cites the potential impact of the U.S. presidential election on these valuations. “This rich valuation requires throughput on Solana to increase 100-400X (over the next several years), something that seems more reasonable under Trump than Harris (as a Trump administration will be more friendly to the overall digital asset ecosystem).”

Kendrick’s report predicts different scenarios centered around the outcome of the upcoming US election. He adds that Solana will “outperform ETH” and ETH will “outperform BTC in 2025, with all boats rising at various (rapid) paces,” in the event of a Trump victory. In addition, Kendrick the report reveals that under a Trump presidency, by the end of 2025, SOL could see a 5x increase from current prices, ETH a 4x increase, and BTC a 3x increase.
The prediction does change if Kamala Harris becomes president this November. “Under Harris, we would expect BTC to outperform ETH and ETH to outperform SOL in 2025,” Kendrick said in the report. Providing specific price targets for Ethereum, Kendrick stated that Standard Chartered now sees Ethereum hitting levels of around $10,000 under Trump, and $7,000 under Harris.
