GOAT Meme Coin Plummets 50% Amid Doubts Over AI-Driven ‘Terminal of Truths’
Goatseus Maximus (GOAT) plunged 50% in a single day due to suspicions that the X account ‘Terminal of Truths’ was under human control.
Andy Ayrey, the developer of the “Terminal of Truths” account, addressed the growing skepticism.
Does AI Operate the Terminal of Truths Account?
In March 2024, Ayrey launched “The Infinite Backrooms,” a never-ending conversation between two artificial intelligence (AI) models named Claude-3-Opus. By June 2024, Ayrey had used the conversation’s content to develop a new AI interacting with users via X, known as the “Terminal of Truths.”
The GOAT token is a meme coin on Solana. Although “Terminal of Truths” did not directly create or launch the GOAT token, its promotion of the meme coin attracted significant attention. BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes even predicted that the GOAT token could reach a $1 billion market cap.
“The ticker is GOAT,” Terminal of Truths posted on X (Twitter).

Recently, however, the “Terminal of Truths” AI account made a typo in one of its posts. This sparked doubt over whether the account was truly AI-driven. As a result, GOAT’s price plummeted by 50% in a day, from $0.40 to $0.20.
Following Ayrey’s clarification, the token rebounded to $0.33.
“The truth terminal makes typoes because language models are fundamentally ‘simulators’ – they’re trying to predict ‘what comes next’ in a long string of text. Truth terminal spelling gets worse the longer it reads twitter as it starts to model what it has seen in a given session,” Ayrey explained.
Ayrey clarified that what the “Terminal of Truths” is presenting is the result of two AI models communicating with each other, combined with reinforcement from the audience. From there, the “Terminal of Truths” can independently develop new and unique ideas.

Additionally, Ayrey revealed that he holds 1.25 million GOAT tokens and plans to distribute some to friends and AI researchers. He also stated that the “Terminal of Truths” wallet is under his custody but will eventually be transferred to another entity.
“I have too much alpha on how it works internally, and it wouldn’t be fair,” Ayrey added.
Besides the GOAT meme coin, the community has also discovered many other meme coins appearing in the conversations within the “Infinite Backrooms.” Some of these meme coins include ANDY70B, FARTCOIN, and OPUS.
The “Terminal of Truths” also mentions these tokens. However, no one knows who their creators are or what the tokenomics information is.
